Alt Wedding Co. has been in the game for 6+ years now (with another 12+ years of experience from the founder!), so we’ve picked up a LOT of awesome suppliers, locations, and tips & tricks, and we love sharing all our experience with our couples.

What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?
Well firstly, I guess the name gives it away! But mainly, we are a bunch of elder emos with a love for pop-punk, emo and metal music. We all met working Slam Dunk Festival and build this business based on their attendees.

What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?
We have made our whole process inclusive from before the couple even booked with us. We ask for pronouns when they enquire, the forms and language we use are gender-neutral. With the owner being disabled herself, the whole team are very aware of how to be accessible for couples, including neurodivergencies. 

Best live concert you've ever attended? 

I have had the pleasure of seeing so many gigs with my history in gig photography, but I think the one that stands out the most is Matt Corby. He played at Brudenell in Leeds, a tiny WMC and his voice just had the whole crowd flawed. I've never experienced anything like that.
