If you're finding looking for your wedding look to be a little scary, fear not! I created Beyond the Veil to be an approachable and stress-free environment. Beyond the Veil is neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ friendly and proud to be queer-owned. We only stock designers whose ethos aligns with our own, putting inclusivity and sustainability at the centre. The super cool (if I do say so myself) and relaxed atmosphere in the boutique situated in my home next to the South Downs at Beyond the Veil guarantees a unique and enjoyable appointment that you’ll remember forever.

It is my goal to give you an experience that you will cherish and help you find the outfit that makes you feel like the best version of yourself.

What makes you an alternative wedding supplier? 

Assigned Goth At Birth, I learnt to sew so I could make the clothes I wanted but couldn't find. We specialise in creating that perfect outfit you can't find anywhere else, the one that so far exists only in your head. With a fun vibe in the boutique and a wall of dressed up dolls, we promise we're Not Like The Others. And the tunes are always on point.

What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?

I always use inclusive language and ask for preferred pronouns. I also always ask for accessibility or any other requirements to make them more comfortable. I adapt my appointments to the clients need, if they don't feel comfortable looking in a mirror; I'll hide it, if they don't like certain textures; I won't pull those dresses. Whatever they need to get the most enjoyable experience out of the appointment, I am willing to do, and I always express that to my clients.

Best live concert you've ever attended? 

Oh my god, Paramore hands down. If you've had the pleasure, you'll know. I saw them last year and it was life altering. Also My Chemical Romance were INCREDIBLE.
