Hi lovely humans, I’m Lauren.
I write personalised, authentic ceremonies make you feel super comfy, cosy and seen.
If you're looking for something a little bit less conventional with a sprinkle of spirituality, or you’d prefer a complete overhaul of tradition, you’ve come to the right person – my job is to write and deliver the ceremony which is perfect for you, and really captures your personalities.
I create a safe, nurturing environment for you to explore different ideas, before helping you to craft your ideal ceremony, filled with meaningful rituals, and words that you connect with.
If you’d like a handfasting, love crystals, astrology, tarot, the moon, and all things mystical and magical – let’s chat!
What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?
My weddings are all about expressing your personality and spiritual beliefs, and I weave them into the ceremony in a way which makes you feel super comfortable and like the magical beings you are. I’m not here to tell you what is and isn’t cool or exciting – I’m here to listen to you, to help you to tell your story in the way that you want it to be told, and to celebrate your love in the way that you want it to be celebrated. My ceremonies can include crystal rituals, bespoke handfasting, and any other rituals that you connect with – but equally, I can infuse little spiritual sprinkles into a more traditional ceremony, in a way which makes both you and your partner/loved ones feel seen and cosy. As for me – I’ll arrive at your wedding in Dr Martens, after singing my heart out to the same emo-fuelled playlist that I’ve been adding to since I was 15, or my favourite Eurovision bangers. I'm and Aquarius who loves tarot, black coffee, and exploring with my TentBox, and I’m really not a fan of discrimination or fast fashion ♥
Best live concert you've ever attended?
My Chemical Romance's Black Parade tour at the MEN Arena... I was 14, and me and my friend had talked our parents into getting us tickets for Christmas, but they were in the absolute Gods. So we ran down the steps, and jumped over the barrier, and lived our absolute best lives in standing. Nothing else has ever quite lived up to it
What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?
As a queer wedding supplier, inclusivity is at the centre of everything I do. I’ve been through the wedding planning process as a bi woman with a female partner, and I know how frustrating it can be when it feels like the industry isn’t really set up for you. Language is incredibly important, and I use gender-neutral language throughout my work. I also ask for pronouns on all of my enquiry forms, to ensure my couples are comfortable from the get go. My wedding planning process includes assistance in making your ceremony accessible for yourself and your guests – this might include reworking rituals or cultural traditions or ensuring a perfect, seamless experience for Disabled to-be-weds and guests, and people who require tailored assistance. I have led human rights initiatives and LGBTQ+ education in school settings, including staff training, and have completed training and workshops for my own CPD with organisations including Amnesty International, LGBT Foundation and The Proud Trust. Most importantly – my job is to make you feel seen, represented and celebrated.
