Our DJ Matt is a veteran of the Leeds alternative scene (a regular at Cockpit, R.I.P) and The Key Club and has been active in the northern independent music scene for 15 years. From Pop Punk to Party anthems to Metal, Kerrang Classics to the Macarena, we’ve got you covered and can work with you to design a bespoke playlist to keep everyone from your gran to the most precocious moshers happy

What makes you an alternative wedding supplier? 

I grew up listening to classic rock and early metal with my dad, and have loved everything about the subcultures associated with the alternative scene ever since (so much I studied it academically). Being part of these cultures is one of the only places I ever felt I fit in, which maybe some of you reading can relate to! I spent all my teenage years in emo bands and studying music production and most of my time at uni in Cockpit or Fuel at the weekends. We will always happily work with any clients, but our USP is that we truly understand how much this music means to people who identify with alternative culture because we live and breathe it, we’re not someone phoning in some pop punk music into a wedding DJ set!

What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?

Our paperwork includes an accessibility statement so we can ensure we are catering to all guests needs. We can turn off/turn down stage lighting, turn down volumes, create better access to dancefloors, provide ear defenders or ear plugs to guests during our set and will work with all clients and venues to ensure all accessibility needs are thoroughly met.

What is your favourite random fun fact?

​I hold an active Guinness world record as part of the largest full drum kit ensemble - the record has been attempted several times but no one has ever beaten our record which has stood since 2012.
