What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?

The alternative answer...is that we don't really think in terms of traditional or alternative weddings, its about your wedding. Figiverse is really about recognising that every wedding, just like every person, is unique and has its own identity. Because of that, we don’t market exclusively towards one type of couple. We work across a real mix of weddings, from fully alternative festival-style celebrations to very traditional venues with couples who simply want something more personal, interactive, and reflective of their guests. What really makes us alternative is that out kits include a wider range of skin tones, textured hairstyles, accessories, and disability representation including wheelchairs and hearing aids because people deserve to see themselves reflected in playful experiences too. A lot of these pieces have to be specially sourced as they are not always available directly from Lego. Something we have also spent time curating are ways for people to celebrate their identities that aren't visible and now every kit contains printed flags LGBTQ+ flags and sunflower flags. A lot of our marketing focuses less on aesthetics and more on personality, connection, and individuality. The couples who are drawn to Figiverse are usually people who care about creating experiences that actually feel like them, whether that’s colourful and unconventional or classic with a playful twist. I don't know if I am alternative or not, I’ve never really fit neatly into traditional boxes, and I think that’s part of why I’ve built a business that celebrates individuality rather than trying to standardise it. So I'll let you decide if that makes me alternative or not

What is a defining moment for you within your business?

Some of the most defining moments have been watching people become genuinely emotional when they see themselves represented in LEGO® for the first time. I’ve had people say things like, “That actually looks like me,” or tell me they’d never seen their hairstyle, skin tone, or disability represented in a playful way before. There’s also something really special about seeing people immediately understand the concept at weddings and events. Guests don’t need much explanation, they instantly start building, talking, laughing, and interacting with each other. I think the thing I’m most proud of is creating something that feels fun on the surface but quietly creates connection, representation, and belonging underneath it all.

What is your favourite random fun fact?

The Unicorn is the national animal of Scotland

Figiverse offers wedding guest books, favours and table plans from LEGO® minifigure pieces for couples who want to break a few wedding rules, in the best possible way. It is part guest book, part table activity, part conversation starter and part “why is Alex wearing a wizard hat?” moment.

Guests build themselves as mini figures, choose accessories, add their name, and place themselves into a shared display. By the end of the day, you have a colourful, character-filled keepsake that actually looks and feels like the people who celebrated with you.

I started Figiverse as a response to the lack of representation I saw in the LEGO® minifigures I could find. So inclusion is built in from the start. The kits include a wide range of skin tones, hairstyles, mobility aids and accessories, so more of your guests can build something that feels like them. Because nobody wants another thing where everyone somehow ends up looking like the same three people in different outfits. Do bear with us though, our kits aren't perfect, we are constantly updating them where we find more pieces that break the mold.

We can also create playful wedding favours and table plans, turning the practical bits of your wedding into something personal, memorable and much more joyful than a folded card nobody notices.

Perfect for alternative weddings, colourful weddings, nerdy weddings, inclusive weddings, and couples who want their day to feel like them rather than a copy-and-paste template.

No stiff traditions. No boring guest book guilt. No forced fun. Just tiny builds, big laughs, and a wedding detail your guests will still be talking about after the cake has disappeared.
