What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?

I don’t just perform magic, I live it. I’m a practising Pagan, part of a working coven, and my PhD explores the crossroads of witchcraft, women’s performance, and spiritualism. My work weaves ritual, tarot, and storytelling into a celebration that’s unapologetically mystical and deeply personal. Every reading and every illusion is grounded in authenticity, because I walk my talk.

What is a defining moment for you within your business?

Honestly? Every single wedding feels like a defining moment. Watching couples’ faces light up when the cards reveal something beautiful, or seeing a sceptical guest turn into a believer, that never gets old. The incredible feedback I get from my couples reminds me that magic isn’t just tricks; it’s connection, laughter, and that unforgettable spark that makes their day theirs.

What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?

Inclusivity isn’t a slogan, it’s baked into every part of my work. I use gender-neutral, inclusive language in all readings and interactions, and I celebrate every kind of love. Whether you’re queer, pagan, poly, goth, or neurodiverse, you’ll find no judgement here, only magic, curiosity, and welcome.

Hello, I’m Careena, and I am The Wedding Witch.

I’ve been reading tarot for over thirty years and am also a magician and proud member of The Magic Circle. My aim is simple: to create moments of magic, connection, and wonder in the middle of busy wedding days.

I’m a magician, tarot reader, and performer with a background in theatre and a PhD in progress exploring the relationship between witchcraft, women’s performance magic, and spiritualism. My work is rooted in authenticity. As a practising Pagan and member of a coven, I approach each event as both performer and seer, holding space for your guests as we explore their tarot pulls and discover those quiet moments of reflection and connection.

The tarot readings and close-up magic I offer aren’t about fortune-telling clichés or flashy tricks. They’re about sparking conversation, laughter, and genuine interaction between people who might never otherwise speak.

Every wedding is different, so I shape what I do to fit the atmosphere, from quiet, candle-lit tarot corners to interactive, ice-breaking magic that draws guests together. I’ve worked in castles, barns, woodlands, warehouses and tipis, and I bring the same care, curiosity, and sense of wonder to each celebration.

Inclusivity matters deeply to me. I welcome couples of every background and identity. Whether your wedding is gothic, bohemian, spiritual, queer or beautifully unconventional, I aim to create a space where everyone feels comfortable, seen, and part of the experience.

Couples often tell me that what I bring becomes one of the most memorable parts of their day, and years later, their guests are still talking about the magic.

For me, The Wedding Witch isn’t about performing spells; it’s about creating space for real magic, the kind that happens between people.

I’m based in the Midlands, but I travel anywhere in the UK and beyond to work with couples who want something a little different.
