THEIR DEETS

Handmade with love in Kelham Island, Sheffield, Rosalia's floral designs offer an eco-friendly, long-lasting alternative to fresh or artificial flowers. Wherever possible, blooms are grown and dried locally, free from harmful chemicals. Focussed on creating flowers that couples can keep long after the wedding, Rosalia loves layering contrasting textures with beautiful colours and gorgeous scents. From floral wedding accessories like bouquets, flower crowns, wrist corsages and pocket squares, to unique venue decor, Rosalia will work with nearly-weds to develop designs that will best suit them and their wedding. After the big event, Rosalia can help with packaging up or framing your blooms, ready to treasure in married life.
What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?
I provide a sustainable alternative to wedding flowers for environmentally conscious couples. I design flowers on a bespoke basis, working with couples to understand their specific needs . I offer a wide range of vibrant stem colours and textures to meet both personal tastes and sensory needs of clients. I provide services for a mixture of traditional and alternative weddings, but frequently receive feedback that my work is suited and tailorable to the alternative wedding scene.
What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?
As the parent to a deaf child I am committed to inclusion and strive to make my work and business accessible to all. My social media content always includes captions and sound for the visually or hearing impaired. I work hard to ensure the language I use is inclusive and accessible to all. Outside of floristry, I have worked in the charity sector since 2013 in the areas of addiction, women's health and humanitarian response, and volunteered for several years as a leader of a support group for people with a chronic health condition. I am currently learning British sign language.
What is your favourite random fun fact?
The phrase, "tying the knot," comes from a Celtic tradition where couples hands were literally bound together with rope or string to symbolize their union.
