THEIR DEETS

Hi, I’m Erin, the artist behind Erin Burgh Makeup Artistry, based in Edinburgh. I’ve been working in the makeup industry for the past five years, and I absolutely love being part of the excitement, creativity, and emotion that comes with wedding mornings.
My background in makeup is rooted in drag, where I first fell in love with the transformative power of makeup. Drag taught me to celebrate individuality, embrace colour, and see makeup as both an art form and a way to express who you truly are. That influence still shapes my work today, whether I’m creating soft, glowing wedding looks or something a little more bold and creative.
I specialise in enhancing natural beauty while making space for colour, personality, and unique styles. Every client is different, so I take the time to understand your vision and create a look that feels authentically you and lasts beautifully throughout the celebrations.
Alongside weddings, I also work within fashion and editorial spaces, and I recently had the incredible opportunity to work backstage at London Fashion Week, gaining experience in a fast-paced, creative environment alongside other talented artists.
My goal is always the same: to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere while helping you feel confident, comfortable, and like the very best version of yourself on your wedding day.
What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?
I work within a mixture of traditional and alternative weddings, but feel most at home with someone who’s looking for something a bit out of the ordinary. I’m still trying to market to alternative couples, but come from a small town with a lot of tradition, and I myself am still relatively new in the wedding game, so find it quite difficult currently. I class myself as alternative - I’ve never really fit in at all with my peers and gravitated towards rock, metal, and emo music, which is where I truly felt I found my people.
Best live concert you've ever attended?
I mean not a concert as such, but my best live music experience was Download Festival 2025! It was my very first festival experience, and I now plan on going back every year I can!!
What is a defining moment for you within your business?
A defining moment for me is being invited to work backstage with a brand at London Fashion Week 2026
