I’m Emelia, a Scottish lass now based in Manchester who never quite got over the emo “phase”. I figured there may be other people like me, who wanted to hear emo & pop-punk at their wedding, but in a way that all of their guests would enjoy. Enter me with my acoustic guitar to make your alt dreams come true!

I began singing and playing guitar at a young age, then studied Musical Theatre. After a few years of theatre in education work, and going abroad for a couple of seasons I set my sights on weddings. Cut to almost a decade later, I’ve found my people (you lot) and I’m loving it more than ever!

So if you’re looking for someone to soundtrack your day with some acoustic alt music, the usual softies, or even a musical theatre tune then I may just be the one for you!

What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive? I always use inclusive language (no "calling all brides" from me!), and have my pronouns displayed on my social media and website. I invite to-be-weds to share their pronouns with me if they feel comfortable doing so. I also don't assume everyone will be taking each others surname etc so make a point to ask what they'd like to be known as afterwards so I can shout them out on the day. Best live concert you've ever attended?  Green Day's most recent tour - it was EPIC. You'd think they were still in their 20's with the energy they have! Plus seeing them play the American Idiot album start to finish was everything my 14 year old self would have ever wanted! What is a defining moment for you within your business?

I recently was able to quit my day job to focus solely on singing for you awesome people at your awesome weddings, and that's something I'm super proud of!
