I'm Lily, someone the Tik Tok generation calls an "elder emo" and not your typical wedding singer and guitarist. Looking through my repertoire you’ll find songs from alternative bands like Bring Me The Horizon and Bowling For Soup but also 00s crowd-pleasers by The Spice Girls and Ricky Martin.

My specialism is my soft acoustic interpretations of classic pop punk, emo and rock songs, imagine this: I’m singing you down the aisle to ‘Freak On A Leash’ by Korn but your Nana thinks it’s Ed Sheeran’s latest single, she’s smiling and tapping her foot none the wiser. I’m a regularly gigging, full-time musician meaning I’m available for weddings on week days and wherever in the country, I also frequently gig publicly, so there will be plenty of opportunities to come and see me sing live before your big day.

I have various packages which cover individual parts of the day such as the ceremony or wedding breakfast, all the way through to my day packages which cover multiple sections in the day. My full day package includes live music from guests arriving for the ceremony all the way through to and including your first dance before the evening entertainment starts.

What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?

I always aim to use gender neutral language where I can and never assume when a couple enquires with me their genders or pronouns. I'm also always really keen to chat to both people in the couple as I often find some can feel left out in the planning process. I'm completely judgement free within my business, all I care about is that you have the best day together with the people you love the most. I want to be your cheerleader and will support with everything and anything in terms of advice even outside of the music side of things.

What is a defining moment for you within your business?

Before I started singing at weddings full time I was a secondary school music teacher, I loved teaching but anyone who knows a teacher will know how hard that profession is right now. I ended up being diagnosed with stress from that job and decided no job is worth my physical and mental health. I decided, quite spontaneously to quit and give this music thing a go, I'm so proud of how far I've come not only in my business but also with my mental wellbeing through this process
