Against the grain, alternative, and laid back AF. Alt Wedding Co. was founded on a passion for alternative music, weddings, festivals, and an all-round fun, badass attitude. Formed from shooting Slam Dunk Festival & their club nights, I met so many people who I went from photographing drunk in a club to drunk on their wedding day! (Drunk in love you may say...)

I'm all about letting you be the most “YOU” on your wedding day, whatever the hell that involves. I take a totally laid-back approach, vibing along the way with you.

Alt Wedding Co. has been in the game for 7+ years now (17 years in total under different names), so I've picked up a LOT of awesome suppliers, locations, and tips & tricks, and I love sharing all my experience with our couples.

So when you choose me, you don’t just have a photographer on your side, I'm here for the whole ride!

What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?

Well firstly, I guess the name gives it away! But mainly, I'm an elder emo with a love for pop-punk, emo, and metal music. From working Slam Dunk Festival and building this business based on their attendees.

What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?

I have made our whole process inclusive from before the couple even booked with me. I ask for pronouns when they enquire, the forms and language I use are gender-neutral. With the owner being disabled herself, I am very aware of how to be accessible for couples, including neurodivergent people.

Best live concert you've ever attended?

I have had the pleasure of seeing so many gigs with my history in gig photography, but I think the one that stands out the most is Matt Corby. He played at Brudenell in Leeds, a tiny WMC, and his voice just had the whole crowd flawed. I've never experienced anything like that. Either that or MCR at Milton Keynes - I cannot describe the atmosphere, it was like nothing I've ever known.
