THEIR DEETS

Hey, I’m Chris, the face behind CRT Weddings, and your wedding wingman for the day.
You’re not hiring me to stage your wedding or line you up in stiff, awkward poses. You’re hiring me to be in it with you. Keeping you calm when the nerves hit, hyping you up when it all kicks off, and making sure you’re actually present in your day instead of worrying about photos.
I photograph real moments as they happen, but I also know when to turn the energy up. That might mean rounding up your wedding party for champagne sprays, getting everyone moving, or bringing a bit of beautiful chaos to the dancefloor. Nothing forced, nothing cringey, just creating space for you and your people to go fully in and have the best time.
Couples book me because they want photos that feel like their wedding, not a photoshoot version of it. Real connection, wild energy and zero stiff posing.
Based in South Yorkshire and travelling across the UK, I work with laid-back, non-traditional couples who want to live their day fully and have it captured exactly as it felt.
What is your favourite random fun fact?
if you drop an ant from a plane it will survive and just walk away unharmed - its terminal velocity isnt high enough to course any serious damaged.
What is a defining moment for you within your business?
There have been a few defining moments for me, but going fully self employed was the big one. Leaving security behind and betting on myself was terrifying and exciting all at once. The real milestone though has been sustaining it. I’ve now been self employed for over four years and this business has been the sole income for my family in that time. We’ve bought a house, upgraded cars and taken holidays, all funded by something I built from scratch with a camera and a stubborn belief that I could make it work. That’s something I’ll never take lightly. Providing for my family through creativity is something I’m incredibly proud of. Another full circle moment was being invited back into my old school to speak to students about running a business and building a brand. Standing at the front of that room, talking about carving your own path, was surreal. It hit me that I wasn’t the kid with big ideas anymore, I was the one encouraging the next generation to back themselves. No huge industry awards on the wall, just a business built on trust, word of mouth and couples who believe in what I do. And honestly, that means more to me than a trophy ever could.
If you could eat 1 meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
No debate. Lasagne and garlic bread. Food is love, food is life. A proper slab of lasagne, layers stacked, cheese bubbling on top, garlic bread on the side to mop up every last bit. That’s it. I’d happily eat that forever and not complain once. A very close second is pizza. Big, messy, loaded pizza. But if I’ve got to pick one for life, it’s lasagne and garlic bread every time.
