We’re Gina & Jack — the humans behind Ivy & Pine Photography. Bristol based, dog lovin’, elder emos that just really love taking photos. Jack’s the calm, Gina’s the chaos, and together we’re basically the perfect mash up of emotional support human and feral creative director. What started with two old film cameras and a shared love for photography slowly turned into us photographing weddings full-time. Our style is relaxed, documentary-led, a little rebellious, and all about capturing people as they actually are. When we’re not at weddings, you’ll probably find us walking near trees or a beach, eating vegan junk food, listening to anything from metalcore to country (all hail Dolly Parton), seeing live music, or binge watching Brooklyn 99… again. Basically — if you want your wedding captured by two people who care deeply, hype you up properly, and won’t make you stand awkwardly smiling at a camera for hours… you’ve found your people.

What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?

We’ve never really set out to be an "alternative wedding supplier" — we’ve just always been ourselves, and it naturally attracts couples who are doing things their own way. For us, being an alternative wedding supplier isn't about ticking a particular box. It’s about celebrating individuality. We're alternative people ourselves, we met at VANS, loved the same music, went to a Paramore concert as our first proper date and the rest is history. We've always felt most at home around people who value individuality over tradition for tradition's sake. We show real weddings, real people and real moments. We celebrate weddings that break the mould, but we also welcome couples who simply want a wedding day that feels authentic to them. Because of that, we work photograph both alternative and traditional weddings, but the common thread is always couples who prioritise personality, connection and doing things their own way.
