What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?
As a pair of nerdy introverts, we wanted to create a photobooth experience for those of us who don't lean towards the traditional idea of a photobooth. The aim was to create a realm where folks like us could embody the whimsy of adventure ~ plus who doesn't love wielding a foam sword! You won't find any feather boas, giant sunglasses, or 'bride' or 'groom' signs with us. Instead it's swords, crowns, fairy wings, and folk masks.
What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?
Our photobooth is open air, meaning it can be set up anywhere and has no restrictions for anyone with mobility needs. We always ask your pronouns, and never assume you identify as a bride or groom.
Best live concert you've ever attended?
We saw Apocalyptica (metal cello quartet) when we were about 17, and it was AMAZING! Perfectly mixed our love of Metallica and classical instruments.
Beyond the veil lies The Alchemist's Forge ~ an immersive fantasy photobooth where ordinary moments are transformed into extraordinary keepsakes. Here, your guests can step away from the familiar world and into one of our fantastical realms. They might become wandering adventurers, mysterious fae, noble courtiers, battle-worn warriors, or creatures of their own imagination. With immersive sets, themed props, bespoke artwork, and our magical touch, we create portraits that feel as though they have been plucked from another world. Based in the North East, The Alchemist's Forge is a travelling experience, bringing our particular brand of alchemy to weddings, celebrations and events across the North East and
Yorkshire. Wherever your gathering takes place, we'll arrive with everything required to transform your event into something unforgettable.
The Alchemist's Forge is a creation of Moor + Moon. Born from a love of storytelling, fantasy, beautiful things and the belief that photographs are more than they seem. They hold amemory ~ a feeling ~a little bit of magic.
