THEIR DEETS

What makes you an alternative wedding supplier?
I’m a proud elder emo and frankly my playlists have barely moved on since 2005. My love for music, drumming, festivals and vinyl have often played into my designs and I certainly enjoy a project if it includes nods to these things! I don’t design anything that is traditional. It’s usually dark and gothic or vibrant and colourful, but always personal and meaningful for the nearlyweds I design for.
What do you do within your business to make it more accessible and inclusive?
Allyship and inclusivity are never finished products; they’re both missions that we all have to keep working on. I have completed inclusivity and allyship training at multiple points while running my small business and will continue to do so. I always ask for and respect pronouns, I make accommodations for disabilities and neurodiversity in the way I communicate with to-be-weds and I’m conscious of the language I use. Striving to make it so that each person I work with feels comfortable and celebrated is paramount to the way I work.
Best live concert you've ever attended?
Very difficult to answer, but a memorable one was last year. I was at 2000 Trees, Vukovi performed and it WENT OFF. Amazing crowd, vocals and weather - it was ace.
I make offbeat wedding stationery and signage for to-be-weds who want to really showcase their personalities, passions and personal tastes on their wedding day. Working closely together with you, I can design something completely bespoke or customise a house design that’s bursting with energy, is super personal and feels right for the celebrations you want to throw.
